I'm painting outside more than ever before, and found inspiration in some very unexpected places.

This was a rough winter. Luckily, it's always spring at the Whole Foods flower shop!

When my daughters decided to go to Norway in the middle of January, I was a little confused by the choice. Tromsø was in the middle of its Polar Night, a 2-month period of darkness during winter, when temperatures average around -5°F. Turns out that they weren't so crazy though. The mid-day twilight just made everything more beautiful and inspiring to paint!

It's not everyday that you see a wild wolf trotting down the road! My daughter was lucky enough to experience this, and I couldn't wait to commemorate the experience in a painting.
